Who are science camps aimed at?

• The summer 2024 Science Camps in English are aimed at elementary school students born in 2011–2013.

What happens at the Science Camps?

• Science campers get to work versatilely in Heureka's different facilities, such as laboratories and workshops.

• The Science Camps are 5-day camps.

• Campers are offered a warm meal in the Science Restaurant.

• The program is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

• During the camp, science campers have the right to be in Heureka's exhibitions until closing time. In addition, you can spend time independently at the exhibitions in the mornings from 9 to 10 am. On Mondays, the camp starts at 9:30 with registration.

• A camp letter with more detailed information is sent by e-mail to those who bought a ticket.

• At science camps, in multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary programs, you get to experiment and research yourself, i.e., enjoy the realization. During the camp, all facilities of Heureka, such as laboratories, planetarium and workshops, are used versatilely.

What do the tickets cost?

Tickets go on sale on Monday, March 25, 2024 at 10 a.m.

The price of 5-day camp is €200.

You can buy more than one science camp ticket at a time (max 4).

How do I prepare for buying a camp ticket?

  • The only camp organized in English is the "Science Camp in English for children born in the years 2011-2013" weeks 27 and 28. All other camps are only organized in Finnish.

    Tickets go on sale on Monday, March 25, 2024 at 10 a.m.

    If you need to cancel a camp spot, do it no later than 7 days before the start of the camp to the address asiakaspalvelu@heureka.fi.

    Any canceled campsites will be back for sale in the online store. So keep an eye on the online store!

At what age can a child participate in the science camp?

Elementary school age, i.e. those born between 2011 and 2013.

At what age can a child participate in space camp? (Note! only in Finnish)

Those born between 2011 and 2013 can participate in the space camp.

Camps are organized:
• in week 25, Mon–Thurs, 10 am–3 pm
• in weeks 26, 27 and 31, Mon–Fri, 10 am–4 pm

Who can participate in the youth camp? (Note! Only in Finnish)

Youth camps are organized for those born between 2008 and 2010.

Camps are organized:
• in weeks 27, 28 and 31, Mon–Fri, 10 am–3 pm

Does the camper have to understand Finnish?

Yes, the camp program is organized in Finnish.

As an exception, Science Camp in English for children born in the years 2011–2013. This camp is organized during weeks 27 and 28.

What do the camps cost?

The price of the Science camp in English for children born in the years 2011-2013 is 200€

What information do I need for the form?

The form is filled out when purchasing a ticket. If you buy tickets for several campers (max 4) at the same time, you must fill out a form for each camper separately.

To fill out the form, you need the following information:

• The child's allergies (including information on whether products that may contain allergenic substances are suitable)
• Guardians' telephone numbers and home and e-mail addresses
• T-shirt size

We would like siblings or friends to go to the same camp - how is that possible?

Campers are basically divided into groups according to age, but siblings and friends of different ages meet during breaks.

If you would like children of almost the same age, but born in different years, in the same group, or a certain friend in the same group, please mention this in the registration form.

How do I cancel my purchase?

Cancel the camp no later than 7 days before the start of the camp to the address: kaspalvelu@heureka.fi .

After this, cancellation and refunds can only be made against a medical certificate.

You can inquire about possible exchanges at the address: kaspalvelupa@heureka.fi .

I didn't have time to buy a ticket, will there be more for sale?

Possible cancellation spots will appear for sale in the ticket store. If you didn't manage to get your own spot - keep an eye on the ticket store!
