Heureka’s Jubilee Fund
Heureka celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2009. Throughout its 20-year history, Heureka has inspired Finnish children and youth in the field of natural sciences, and has presented and explained scientific and technological advances in a way that has made them accessible to the public at large.
Many things have changed during this time, but the desire to familiarise new generations with science and technology in an inspiring fashion has sustained and grown. Finland’s success and competitiveness in the future rests on an ability and aspiration to apply research information and create new knowledge.
The activities of science centre Heureka are managed and run by the private and independent Finnish Science Centre Foundation. Heureka’s Jubilee Fund was established to safeguard the financial foundation for our operations in future years and decades to come. We invite both companies and private individuals to contribute and support us in this mission.
Those who wish to contribute to this worthy cause can do so in a way that corresponds to their own abilities and desire to help. The act of making a donation is a social action by which the donor participates in building the future. The names of those companies and private persons who make donations of over 10,000 euro will be placed on the honorary Jubilee Fund plaque, which is visibly located in the lobby of science centre Heureka. All of the donors also have the opportunity, should they so desire, to be listed with the online Jubilee Fund honorees posted on Heureka’s website.
