The game is played on Mannerheim street, in the centre of Helsinki. You can control the traffic lights and see how traffic goes on in downtown, Helsinki.

This game simulates traffic and traffic lights. You can find out what kinds of problems are linked with traffic control by controlling the traffic lights yourself — usually traffic lights are controlled by computers.

The game is played as a group using the HUTSIM traffic simulator developed by the Helsinki University of Technology. Each member of the group acts as the “traffic police” of one crossroads. This game requires close co-operation within the group in order to keep the traffic moving smoothly from one intersection to the next.

In this traffic game, it is possible for a person to be more skilled than the computer, since a person has the ability to see the entire traffic situation. On the other hand, in addition to ensuring the smooth flow of traffic, a smart control system is able to consider the necessary safety, emission and economic factors.
