Experiment in our laboratory!

The aim of the laboratory programmes is to introduce children to and interest them in experimental natural science observation and teach them about chemical research topics and work methods.

The Children’s Laboratory

The Children’s Laboratory, located in Cylinder Hall, is open weekdays to school groups upon advance notice. During weekends and school holidays, visitors can also sign up on site for laboratory demonstrations held during their visit. More specific information is found on the electronic notice board in the entry lobby.

In the laboratory, teams of two work together under the guidance of a Heureka inspirer. The laboratory has 24 workstations. Each programme lasts about 30 minutes.

More specific information about the programmes held at the Open Laboratory can be found in the Finnish-language school programme pages. Exhibition ticket holders are admitted into the Children’s Laboratory free of charge.
