Science On a Sphere - global phenomena on the surface of a giant sphere
Science On a Sphere® ( Science On a Sphere®) is a global display system designed in the United States by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). The system involves four video projectors that project animated images of the Earth's surface, oceans, atmosphere and astronomy onto the white surface of a large sphere.
Guided demonstrations every day
Daily demonstration times can be found on the Heureka info screen next to the ticket sales desk.
At other times, the system displays satellite images of the Earth at night and day, ocean temperature changes from 1980 to 1999, and the current cloud cover and weather conditions across the globe.
