The Non-fiction Fans project increases schoolchildren's joy for reading and scientific capital through non-fiction visits and related workshops. Libraries and science centers from different parts of Finland were chosen as the implementers of the project. They organize free event days for schoolchildren, to which schoolchildren from their own area are invited.
The visitors are non-fiction writers with their workshops. Materials are made to deepen the visits: information packages to facilitate the visits, non-fiction videos, visit materials and learning materials both before and after the visit. In addition, tips are made for visiting writers, those coming to visit and those organizing visits. They are available to anyone. There are a total of 50 visitors during the project, event locations from Kilpisjärvi to Helsinki.
