Discover the force of teamwork and trust
In the Facing Disaster exhibition, visitors will proceed through the different stages of a disaster. The first part is for learning about and practising shared resilience skills, after which visitors will experience the elements – floods, storms, wildfires and earthquakes – as audiovisual art installations. The effects of nature’s power are demonstrated with empowering true stories from around the world.
The key message is that our shared resilience is built and maintained through working together before, during and after a crisis.
The exhibition offers a versatile view of disaster resilience through engaging hands-on exhibits, audiovisual art and inspiring true stories and artefacts from all over the world.
Our teamwork skills and ability to trust each other are highlighted in the gamified exhibits.
Forces of the natural elements – fire, wind, earth, water – are experienced in walkthrough audiovisual art installations realized by projection artist Laszlo Bordos (BordosArtworks).
True stories of resilience in face of natural forces are illustrated by artefacts and authentic soundscapes.
