Booking guided programs
Guided programmes refer to programmes that are led by one of Heureka’s skilled inspirers in the laboratory, science theatre, workshop areas, exhibition areas or planetarium. One age-appropriate guided programme can be booked in connection with a school visit. The chaperoning teacher shall make sure that the group is present about 5 minutes before the programme begins. This is especially important when the guided programme has been booked as the first activity at the beginning of the visit. The booking must be made no later than one week before the visit. The teacher assumes full responsibility for the supervision of the group, even during the guided programmes.
Planetarium films
Tickets can be booked for one or more planetarium films in connection with a school visit to Heureka.
Reservation confirmation and cancellation
Heureka’s sales service will process the school reservation requests in their order of arrival. Once the reservation has been processed, you will receive a confirmation by e-mail. The confirmation message states the reservation number, and the booked services and related prices. If you wish to make any changes to your reservation or to cancel the reservation, please do so by sending a request to the e-mail address mentioned in your confirmation no later than one week prior to your intended visit.
Ticket sales
The teacher will pay for the entire group at the same time and hand out the admission wristbands to the students. If the students are each paying for their own ticket separately, they will be charged the normal fee for a child’s ticket instead of the student price. The visit to Heureka can be paid with cash, debit card or credit card, or an invoice can be sent to the school following the visit. An additional invoicing fee of 8 euro will be charged.
Independent touring and exhibitions
Heureka’s interactive exhibitions inspire and motivate students to learn through their own discoveries. There are many curriculum-based tasks related to the exhibition themes that the group can do either during their Heureka visit or back at their school.
Restaurant dining and packed lunches
Please contact the restaurant directly to make a lunch reservation, ravintola@heureka.fi or 09 857 9399. School groups can also choose to pack their own lunches. These can be enjoyed in the picnic area. Visitors are not permitted to eat their own lunches or snacks in the exhibition areas.
Coat racks and lockers
Outdoor clothing and backpacks can be hung on the lobby coat racks or stored in our lockers. Heureka is not responsible for any property left in the coat racks and lockers. During spring school trips, in particular, it is important to fill the coat racks in order.
