The Talking Head programme creatively combines robotics, programming, media skills and recycling across subject boundaries. In the workshop, the learners build the head and body of the Talking Head robot, customise it to their liking using recycled materials, and program the robot’s eye and jaw movements for the newsreader task. Next, the robot is programmed to present a news clip produced and recorded by the learners. The programme develops students’ media skills, supports technology and creativity education, and encourages interaction.
