Science Center Heureka in Vantaa's Tikkurila is a versatile experience complex that offers interactive exhibitions, planetarium films and science programs 364 days a year. Heureka shares the joy of discovery with almost 300,000 visitors every year and is one of the most popular leisure centers in Finland.
The task of Heureka's program production unit is to plan, develop and implement science exciting events, programs and services.
We are looking for an EVENT PRODUCER for a permanent and full-time employment in the program production unit.
The event producer plans, coordinates and implements diverse scientific events for different audiences of Heureka. Heureka's events offer interactive science experiences and insights, as well as things to do that inspire learning and science. Heureka annually organizes events for the whole family, theme weeks for school children, evenings for adults and project events.
We are looking for a multi-talent in the event industry who has experience and know-how in planning and implementing various events. The employment starts on August 5, 2024 or according to the agreement.
THE DUTIES OF THE EVENT PRODUCER INCLUDE, AMONG OTHER THINGS:
- Together with other workers and Heureka's partners, they implement unique science events that inspire learning.
- Create, ideate, organize and implement new kinds of first-class encounters for Heureka visitors together with other workers and Heureka partners.
- Gather different actors together and build Heureka events that involve Heureka's visitors, partners, and other workers as well.
- If necessary, act as a presenter at Heureka events.
- Develops the service path of Heureka's events based on metrics and customer feedback.
- The event handles communication together with Heureka residents and representatives of partners.
WE REQUIRE:
- Suitable education, such as event, culture producer or tourism education. A university degree is considered an advantage.
- Previous work experience in planning and implementing events, and/or projects involving various audiences and cooperation projects.
- Experience in organizing scientific events, hosting tasks, facilitating events and/or organizing online events.
- Self-activity, self-direction, initiative and pressure tolerance, as well as a customer-oriented service approach.
- Excellent teamwork, organizational, interaction and communication skills and networking skills.
- Excellent oral and written Finnish language skills, good oral and written English skills, good oral and written Swedish language skills are an advantage.
- Possibility to work evenings and weekends.
