• Heureka's autumn holiday camps 2026: Science camps for curious children

    Is your child curious and hungry for knowledge? Do they enjoy wearing a lab coat, are they excited about science experiments and learning new things? If you answered yes to these questions and are looking for something to do for your elementary school-aged child during autumn break week 42, the answer is here: Heureka's autumn break science camps 2026. At the science camps, curious children get to immerse themselves in the world of science.

When and for whom are the autumn holiday camps organized?

Autumn holiday camps in week 42 will be held:

Mon-Tues 12.-13.10.2026 10AM–3PM

  • Science camp for those born in 2014–2019.
  • Space camp for those born in 2017–2018.


Thu-Fri 15.-16.10.2026 10AM–3PM

  • Science camp for those born in 2014–2019.
  • Space camp for those born in 2014–2016.


Campers can spend time independently at Heureka's exhibitions from 3 to 6 PM., and on Tuesdays and Fridays from 9 to 10 AM.

What happens at the autumn holiday camps?

  • During the autumn holiday science and space camps, participants get to experience seven different interdisciplinary science programmes over two days, inspiring them to explore, investigate and experiment.
  • All programs at space camps deal with space. The programs for space campers are different from those at a regular science camp.
  • Campers have the opportunity to work in a variety of ways in Heureka's various facilities, such as laboratories and workshops.
  • The guided program is from 10 AM to 3 PM. On Mondays and Thursdays, the camp begins at 9:30 AM with registration.
  • The camp program is the same for Mon-Tue and Thu-Fri camps.
  • The programs are familiar from the summer 2026 camps.
  • Science camps and space camps are in Finnish.
  • Campers are offered a hot meal at the Science Restaurant.
  • A camp letter with more detailed information will be sent by email to those who purchased tickets before the camp.

What do tickets cost?

Sales: Tickets go on sale on Monday, September 14, 2026 at 10 AM.

Price: €90 / two-day camp

You can purchase multiple science camp tickets at once (max 4).

Note: All campers' information must be filled out on the registration form at the time of purchase.

For the forms you will need the following information:

  • The child's allergies (including information on whether products that may contain an allergenic substance are suitable)
  • Guardians' phone numbers, home and email addresses
  • Any special needs of children, such as challenges with social situations or behavior.


Advance information helps us make arrangements well in advance so that we can provide a good experience for all campers.

Campers are divided into groups according to age, but siblings and friends of different ages meet during breaks. If you would like children of almost the same age but born in different years to be in the same group, or a specific friend to be in the same group, please mention this on the registration form.

  • Science Camps

    At the science camps, participants conduct chemistry experiments in the laboratory, explore the physics of sound, polarization and coding, and discover the principles of molecular gastronomy through cooking. They also investigate illusions and explore the water cycle on Earth.

  • Space Camps

    At the space camps, participants explore space and our own Solar System, as well as current phenomena related to it. During the camps, they learn about space technology, investigate the Moon and conduct laboratory experiments related to phenomena in space. At the space camps, participants get to explore their interest in space together with an inspiring mentor.

How do I cancel my purchase?

Cancel the camp no later than 7 days before the start of the camp by filling the form by clicking here.

After this, cancellation and refunds can only be made against a medical certificate.

I didn't have time to buy a ticket, will there be more for sale?

Possible cancellation spots will appear for sale in the ticket store. If you didn't manage to get your own spot - keep an eye on the ticket store!

Autumn holiday camps in Vantaa – easily accessible from Helsinki and Espoo

Heureka's autumn holiday camps are two-day science camps that will be held: Mon–Tue 12.–13.10.2026 and Thu–Fri 15.–16.10.2026. The camp day program will be held from 10 am to 3 pm. The autumn holiday camp is easy to get to from various cities in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area. Heureka can be easily reached using public transport, by car and by bike.

Things to do during the autumn holidays

Heureka is open during the autumn holiday week 42 Mon–Fri 9 am–6 pm and Sat–Sun 10 am–6 pm.

After the science camp day, the child can stay in Heureka's exhibitions to explore and play until closing time.
