Accessibility in Heureka

Heureka is committed to offering a barrier-free visiting experience for all visitors. Our facility is designed to take into account various mobility restrictions and other special needs.

Barrier-free access and Exhibition facilities

• Barrier-free access: All premises are barrier-free. The entrance is designed without thresholds and stairs, which makes it easier to move around with a wheelchair or stroller.
• Handicapped toilet facilities: Handicapped toilet facilities are easily found near the main entrance. In addition, our facilities have a nursery room and a day bed.
• Exhibition spaces and movement in Heureka: All Exhibition spaces can be reached with strollers or wheelchairs.

Aids and services

• Wheelchairs: We offer loan wheelchairs from customer service. In addition, there are places reserved for wheelchairs in our planetariums.
• Induction loop: The induction loop is available in the planetarium.
• Assistants: An assistant or support person can access our service free of charge. If asked, a certificate or card that proves the need for an assistant has to be shown (for example The EU Disability Card).
• Guide and assistance dogs: Guide and assistance dogs are welcome to visit Heureka.

Parking and arrival

• Disabled parking: Accessible parking spaces are located right in front of the building. Access to the parking area is through Härkävaljako, which makes the arrival smooth and easy.
• Public means of transport: Heureka is located along good public transport links, which enables easy access for all visitors.
