Children's Halloween 1 November 10 am–6 pm
The Children's Halloween family event, which was very popular last year, is back! This year, Halloween will be celebrated with a sewer theme in honor of the brand new water exhibition . The water exhibition opens 30.10.2025.

Halloween Silent Disco
Put on your headphones and take over the dance floor! At the disco, you can unleash your inner dancer. The music comes from headphones that you can use while dancing.
DJ Kosmonautti is in charge of the music.
10 am–6 pm.
The Strange Café children's theater performance
A wordless performance combining circus, magic, science tricks and theatre for the whole family! The performance will include magically colour-changing drinks, bubbles, music, acrobatics and lots of humour.
The performance lasts approximately 30 minutes and is recommended for ages 3 and up.
The performance is made possible by Teatteri Tuike.
11 am, 1 pm and 2 pm. Heureka's auditorium.
Costume parade
Dressing up in the Halloween theme is not mandatory, but it is fun! During the day we will organize three costume parades, where children can show off their costumes. This way we can all admire the splendor of the day's costumes! The costume parade will take place indoors.
11 am, 1 pm and 3.30 pm. Meeting at the Heureka information point.

Sewer's green balls
Come learn the science of cooking - molecular gastronomy! In this fun workshop you will make small mistakes into edible gems that you will take home in a small mug.
Recommended age: 6+
At 10:30, 11:30, 12:30, 14:30, 15:30 and 16:30. In the snack area upstairs, access via the spiral staircase or by elevator next to the Ice Age Giants exhibition. -
20,000 Leagues Under the Sea
Come experience the magical VR experience called 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea . You will board Captain Nemo's legendary Nautilus on an interactive journey to the depths of the sea. You will experience Jules Verne's classic tale like never before - as the hero of your own underwater exploration! During the event you get to experience an amazing 3-minute version of the story.

Smell the thief!
Do you have a better sense of smell than a police dog? Find out in this workshop, because we need your help solving a crime mystery! The mystery is solved with the help of your sense of smell.

Did you know that the weight of water varies depending on its temperature? Come to the lab to investigate whether warm or cold water is heavier.

This workshop combines the spookiness of Halloween with a hands-on exploration of optics and liquid crystal display (LCD) technology. Is the screen haunted - or is it science?

From the box to the tube quiz
At the Science on a Sphere -site you can participate in a quiz full of questions about the wonderful world of sewers. Who is the sewer master in your family?
The quiz will be held non-stop throughout the day. Each round will last for an indefinite period of time.
The Science Restaurant feeds hungry Halloween partygoers
When you get hungry, head to the Science Restaurant! A hearty lunch and tasty Science Snack Menu dishes are available. There will also be delicious Halloween treats available throughout the event.

At Heureka Shop you will find the smartest souvenirs, gifts for all ages or science memorabilia for yourself.
