    Saturday, 26 September 2026, 10AM–6PM we’ll dive into the world of robotics through an interesting and engaging special programme. Heureka’s exhibitions are also open throughout the day.

    Tip! Science Park Galilei is open for the last day of the 2026 summer season on Sunday, 27 September. So be sure to explore Heureka’s science-filled backyard as well!

Robotics workshop

Welcome to our workshop to program and test LEGO SPIKE robots! In the workshop, you’ll get to earn your robotics driving licence. The workshop is led by students from Aalto University. No prior knowledge is required.

The workshop lasts 45 minutes, and places are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Each workshop can accommodate 12 children. The recommended age is 6+.

The workshop is organised by Aalto Junior.

Please note! The workshop is for children only.

At 10.30AM, 11.30AM, 1PM and 2PM. In Hoksaamo. Access via the ramp upstairs, in front of the information desk.

Roboshop

Would you like to develop a toy robot? At the Roboshop, you can animate a toy robot’s movements by switching its motors and lights on and off. Roboshop is an exhibition feature currently under development at Heureka, and this is the first time the public gets to try it out.

Audio Adventure: Trouble in Space

Come and experience a fun, interactive and immersive audio adventure! As a group, you’ll embark on a journey to Mars. Your mission is to survive the challenges that arise along the way and make decisions together. What will happen to you – will you make it all the way to Mars?

Around 20 children can take part in each game. The children will wear headphones during the game. The game is conducted in Finnish.

Recommended age: 6+

Please note! The game is for children only. Parents can watch from the sidelines.

  • Two adults at the Heureka event.

    Crank Ball

    Are you quick on the crank? Crank Ball is an innovative and completely unique game developed at Heureka. The aim of the game is to solve a maze as quickly as possible as a team of three. And since the theme is robotics, the tilting of the game board is controlled by motors that you operate with a crank!

  • Lego Spikes: dinosaur themed

    Build and destroy! In the workshop, you’ll get to build a dinosaur car using LEGO SPIKE bricks. Once you’ve finished building, you can, if you wish, make a video of your dinosaur car speeding through a miniature city.

  • The cat is missing

    How does a television work? How many pixels can a single screen have? Solve the mystery of how a liquid crystal display works using the clues and find the missing cat!

  • Robot Uprising

    In the workshop, you’ll get to control AI-powered robots!

  • Science on a Sphere – the Earth reflected on a ball.

    The Solar System

    In the Science on a Sphere show, an inspirer leads you on an exploration of the Solar System and introduces you to its planets.

  • Mixed Signals

    In the workshop, you’ll get to program and drive Cutebot cars.

Tarkkana! Science Theater Show (in Finnish!)

The Tarkkana! show challenges the audience to figure out whether even the presenter's incredible claims could actually be true.

Robotics-themed Kahoot!

Come and test how much you know about robots and robotics! The quiz is conducted using the free Kahoot! app on your own phone.

  • A tame rat takes a break from eating and looks out of its box.

    We feed the rats! (in Finnish)

    What is a rat’s favourite food? Why does a rat carry its food away to hide it? You’ll find answers to these and many other questions at the rat feeding demonstration.

    During the rat feeding demonstrations, an inspirer serves the rats fresh treats such as lettuce, cucumber, carrots and grains. As the rats munch on their vegetables, the inspirer talks about the rats’ behaviour, feeding and everyday life at Heureka’s Rottala. The demonstration lasts approximately 15 minutes.

  • Kaksi naista istuvat planetaariossa ja katsovat kupua kohti.

    Planetarium

    In the planetarium, films are projected onto a hemispherical white screen, making viewers feel as though they are at the centre of the action.

    You can reserve your own seat for the show using the QR code displayed on the screen in front of the planetarium.

    Please note! The minimum age for the planetarium is 5 years.
