Dress code: sustainable – Goodbye, fastfashion!

1.6.–15.9.2024

Clothing does a lot more than cover our bodies

Clothes bring joy, and we use them to express our personalities. However, clothes have effects that are far-removed from their wearers. The clothing industry is one the most polluting industries in the world today.

Finix

Sustainable fashion is a necessity, not just the latest trend. It relies on the everyday choices we makeabout using, maintaining and buying clothes. Sustainable fashion is also part of the circular economy of textiles, which enables the more sustainable use of textile fibres and increases their longevity.

What can we do collectively to make our approach to clothing more sustainable? The exhibit was produced as part of the FINIX research project funded by the Strategic Research Council.
