Questions about tickets

What does the Heureka ticket include?

A Heureka ticket includes admission to all Heureka exhibitions, planetarium films, public programs, and in the summer, the outdoor Science Park Galilei for one day.

Can I buy a Heureka ticket from the online store for the same day?

Tickets for the current day are available at a lower price from the online store until 9AM; after that, they can be purchased on-site at regular prices.

Why can't tickets be purchased online after opening hours?


We only sell advance tickets in our online store to manage visitor numbers and ensure the most comfortable visit possible. Advance tickets from the online store are €3 cheaper than tickets purchased on-site.

Can I buy a Museum Card at Heureka?

Yes, you can buy a Museum Card upon arrival at Heureka. We will give you a temporary cardboard card. The actual plastic card will be mailed to your home after registration.

Can I change the date of my visit or cancel my order?

Yes, you can. If you want to change your visit date or cancel your order, please fill out and submit the form by clicking here.

Note! Submit the form no later than by 4pm on the visit date indicated on the original ticket.

Heureka's opening hours during the summer season 1.6.–9.8.2026:

Who can go to the planetarium?

Planetarium is recommended for ages 5 and up. Planetarium films are included in the price of the day's Heureka ticket.

Please note! On busy days, such as weekends and school holidays, we cannot guarantee a seat for everyone at the planetarium films.

Do I need to reserve a seat for the planetarium film?

Weekdays Mon–Fri:

  • Seats for planetarium shows are not reserved in advance.
  • Note! School groups reserve seats in advance when booking their visit.


Weekends (Sat–Sun) and school holiday seasons:

  • Seat reservations are made on-site at Heureka via the QR code displayed on the information screen in front of the planetarium.

Is there a childcare room at Heureka? And can I bring a stroller into the exhibitions?

  • The childcare room is located in the entrance hall behind the coat racks.
  • Strollers are welcome in the exhibitions.

Where can you store clothes or goods in Heureka?

In the entrance hall, you will find coat racks and free lockable lockers. The locker sizes are:

  • height 600 mm, width 400 mm, depth 400 mm.
  • height 1700 mm, width 245 mm, depth 402 mm.

Larger suitcases can be left at the info for storage.

Heureka is not responsible for property left in coat racks or lockers.

How is accessibility reflected at Heureka?

Heureka is a Disability Card destination. In addition, we have, for example, barrier-free access between facilities and we provide various aids for use.

Are pets allowed in Heureka?

Only guide dogs on duty are allowed.

Can you get something to eat from Heureka?

The Science Restaurant is located at Heureka, which offers a lunch that changes daily, a delicious Science Snack Menu, and small savory and sweet treats.

Can I eat my own snacks in Heureka?

You can eat your own packed lunch in the dedicated picnic area (on the 2nd floor). Access to the picnic area is next to the Giants of the Ice Age exhibition, either via the spiral stairs or by elevator.

Next to the picnic area, you will find a microwave, a water point, a recycling point, and toilets.

Note! Eating your own packed lunch is not allowed in the exhibition area.

Can I take photos in Heureka?

At Heureka, you are allowed to take photographs for personal use and publish them, for example, on social media. If people are identifiable in the photograph, a good basic rule is to ask for permission to photograph and publish.

Can you organize children's birthday parties at Heureka?

Heureka is a great place to host an unforgettable birthday party for 5–14-year-olds.

  • The Birthday Chemistry package is suitable for 6–12-year-olds.
  • Science Theatre Birthdays are suitable for 5–14-year-olds.

When are the science camps held?

Heureka organizes science and space camps annually during autumn break (week 42), winter break (week 8), and during the school summer holiday weeks.

  • Autumn and winter break camps are two-day day camps for primary school-aged children.
  • Summer holiday camps are five-day day camps for primary and secondary school-aged children.

Does Heureka organize events for adults?

Heureka organises events for adults a few times a year. These events offer a variety of programmes, and Heureka's exhibitions are open as usual.

Heureka has two different event concepts for adults:

  • H18 events - science parties at Heureka! These events offer a festive atmosphere with a scientific twist in a fun and exciting way.
  • NOX science evenings - an event you will leave smarter. These science evenings delve into a specific theme through longer lectures and workshops.

Does Heureka organize events for children?

Heureka organizes events for all ages a few times a year, offering unique special programs. Heureka's exhibitions are also open as usual. The themes of the events are Halloween, medicine, water, robotics, and space.
