When and for whom are summer holiday camps organized?

The summer 2026 science and space camps will be organized for elementary and secondary school students.

Camps in English:

  • Science Camps in English for Children born in the years 2013–2015 in weeks 27 and 28.

Camps in Finnish:

  • Science camps for those born between 2013 and 2018 in weeks 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 31 and 32.
  • Space camps for those born in 2013–2015 in weeks 25, 26, 27 and 31.
  • Camps for secondary school aged youth in weeks 27, 28 and 31.

Summer camps in Vantaa – easily accessible from Helsinki and Espoo

Heureka summer camps are week-long science and space camps that are organized for children of different ages throughout the summer. The camp day program is organized from 10 am to 3 pm. The summer camp is easy to get to from different parts of the Helsinki metropolitan area. Heureka is conveniently accessible using public transportation, by car, and by bike.

Things to do during summer vacation 2026

Heureka is open during the summer season 1.6.–9.8.2026, Monday–Friday 9 am–6 pm and Saturday–Sunday 10 am–6 pm.

You can explore Heureka's exhibition selection from the menu below. In the summer of 2026, it is especially worth coming to explore the Heureka classics that were renewed during spring and to admire the animals of the Ice Age Giants of the Ice Age exhibition , which is open until August 30, 2026.
