    Outdoor Exhibitions and Summer Activities

    Admission to the Galilei Science Park is included in the price of a Heureka ticket during the summer. The park offers many different attractions, such as:

    • A giant xylophone where you can play your favorite songs.
    • A wheelchair track where you can test how well you can navigate a wheelchair through different levels, doors, and thresholds.
    • A human yo-yo where you get to experience being a yo-yo and float in the air.


    Tip! Especially on hot days, the park's fun water attractions encourage play, so getting wet is possible. It's a good idea to pack a change of clothes!

    Heureka offers activities for all ages. The youngest members of the family will surely enjoy the Play and Explore exhibition, and older children will find a wide range of activities in the Our Journey in Space exhibition.

    Heureka is a short distance from Helsinki city centre: the train journey to Tikkurila station takes about 15 minutes. If you're on holiday in Helsinki, you should definitely also visit the wonderful world of science!

Tickets and prices

You can buy Heureka tickets in advance for €3 less from the online store. The Heureka ticket includes all exhibitions, programs and planetarium films.

What should I bring with me when visiting Heureka during Midsummer?

You don't need to bring anything special with you to visit Heureka - all you need is a curious mind!

  • You are allowed to bring your own snacks and can eat them in the snack area upstairs. The snack area is accessed via a spiral staircase or elevator, which can be found next to the Giants of the Ice Age exhibition .
  • It is a good idea to wear comfortable clothes to Heureka so that it is as comfortable as possible to try out the functional sites, such as the Moon Walk site in the Our Journey in Space exhibition .
  • Science Park Galilei features several exhibits that involve water. It's a good idea to pack a change of clothes in case you get wet!

What ages is Heureka suitable for?

Heureka is suitable for all ages. There is plenty to do for both children and adults, so you can come to Heureka during the winter holidays with the whole family or just adults. Here are a few age recommendations and restrictions that are good to know before visiting:

Toilets and childcare facilities

  • The childcare facilities is located in the entrance hall behind the coat racks. The toilets are also located in the same area.
  • Toilets are also available in the corridor behind the spiral staircase next to the Giants of the Ice Age exhibition and in the snack area upstairs. The snack area is accessible via the spiral staircase or by elevator.

Dining and shopping

  • The Science Restaurant offers a hearty lunch, a delicious Science Snack Menu, and smaller savory and sweet snacks every day.
  • Heureka Shop is located in the lobby. You will find the best science gifts and souvenirs from your visit to Heureka.

  • Quick tips for a Midsummer visit to Heureka

    1) We are open on Midsummer's Eve, June 19th 2026, from 9 AM to 6 PM, and on Midsummer's Day, June 20th 2026, from 10 AM to 6 PM. You can find everything you need to plan your visit by clicking here.
